This photo was manipulated in Photoshop CS3. The DoF is a product of the shot taken with a Nikon D200 (details below) but the color isolation was done is PS CS3. It isolate the pink in the shot I used the magic wand and selected all the areas around the pink frames (also inside the frame when the book underneath can be seen) I then used the black and white function and Volia! the pink frames are isolated against a black and white background.
